Cotai Glory has sired 15 black-type horses from his first two crops.

The roll-call is headed by The Platinum Queen, who became the first two-year-old to land the Prix de l’Abbaye in 44 years and subsequently sold to Katsumi Yoshida for 1,200,000gns.

The son of Exceed And Excel has also sired Prix Robert Papin winner Atomic Force, Premio Primi Passi scorer Bottle Of Bubbles and Coventry Stakes runner-up Eldrickjones.

His third crop of yearlings were subsequently in strong demand at the sales in 2022, including a half-sister to Cachet sold to Blandford Bloodstock for 350,000gns, a half-sister to Lusail bought by Sackville Donald for 240,000gns and a half-sister to Malavath knocked down to Ken Condon for €200,000.

Coolmore kingpin No Nay Never (pictured) sired a sensational six individual two-year-old Group winners in 2022.

 

Even more remarkably, three of those struck at the highest level: Blackbeard in the Prix Morny and Middle Park Stakes; Little Big Bear in the Phoenix Stakes; and Meditate in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf.

The other three were Aesop’s Fables, who won the Futurity Stakes, Midnight Mile, who took the Oh So Sharp Stakes, and Trillium, who took the scalp of The Platinum Queen in the Flying Childers Stakes.


The son of Scat Daddy has sired 87 black-type performers in total, including 26 Group winners. They are headed by Alcohol Free, who sold for 5,400,000gns at the Tattersalls December Mares Sale.

No Nay Never stands at Coolmore at a fee of €175,000.
